You can spread the cost over 3 or 4 instalments, starting from £140 per month. It’s super noisy out there right? I’ve been feeling deafened by it recently and needed to remind myself of a few tools I have to help silence it. 1. I don’t have notifications switched on on my devices and this has to be one of the biggest game changers. That little computer, which we lovingly refer to as our phone, constantly in our hand, in our back pocket or beside us, continually pinging, beeping, vibrating, buzzing and ringing can be silenced very easily. 2. Moving my body in a way that suits me, without being deafened by the algorithm feeding me with posts telling me I should be lifting weights or doing body weight pull-ups yadda yadda yadda…a quick dance round the kitchen with @bbc6music turned up to volume 11, a dog walk, a run (signing up for a race and raising money for a charity is a huge motivator for me) and a regular class @themvementstudio all help quieten my head. 3. Reading actual real life books. Not reading something on my phone or laptop, listening to a podcast or an audiobook, but reading a novel I can lose myself in. Recommendations always gratefully received! 4. Getting outside. It’s very on trend, and has been for quite some time, but there’s a good reason; it works. Stepping away from the noise and out into the big wide world is one of the best tonics I can think of for helping quieten the din. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, just standing on the doorstep with a cuppa can sometimes be enough. 5. Giving less f***ks. Highly recommended at all times. I’m so over the noise of being told how I could be/should be this or that, that this jab will change my life forever, that these supplements will transform me (@ashlyn_sound_stylist wrote a brilliant post about this earlier in the week). What’s so wrong with aging and leaning into that with grace and style? @bryonygordon and @luinluland are absolute queens of giving zero f***ks and I say all hail that revolution!
